Nebraska man is facing charges in Gamestop theft

JAN. 10

Criminal mischief: At 7:38 p.m., a vehicle was egged in the 100 block of West Township Line Road. Identity theft: A resident of the 1700block of Josie Lane reported that someone attempted to open a credit card account using his identity.

Retail theft: At Giant on West Township Line Road, it was reported that an unknown male stole a total of $3,491in groceries over five separate occasions.

Retail Theft: At the same Giant, at 9:24 p.m. an unknown female stole $185 in groceries.

JAN. 11

Criminal mischief: Llanerch Country Club on West Chester Pike: At 7:31 p.m., a woman discovered three puncture marks in a vehicle tire.

Fraud: 1900 block of Lawrence Road: Victim reported that she had to renew her Xfinity contract and Googled the phone number for customer service. She spoke to an unknown man and he advised her she needed to pay her current bill in the amount of $236 in order to proceed. She provided him with her credit card informatio­n. She later discovered that the transactio­n was fraudulent.

JAN. 12 Theft:

At 1:13 p.m., a 22-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property at the Game Stop in the 1300 block of West Chester Pike.

Theft: 1200 block of Darby Road: An unknown actor used the victim’s identity to open a credit card account.

JAN. 13

Criminal mischief: 1100 block of Darby Road: Just before 11p.m., a group of juvenile males opened the victim’s storm door and kicked his door.

JAN. 15

Fraud: 300block of West Lancaster Avenue. Victim reported that a counterfei­t check was attempted to be drawn on the company’s account.

Identity theft: 1100 block of Edgewood Drive. Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a vehicle insurance policy.

JAN. 16

Identity theft: In the 2300 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue, a resident reported that someone used her identity to open a travel insurance policy.
