Troopers make arrest in October shooting, seek 2
State police have made an arrest and are seeking two other suspects in one of the shootings on Interstate 95 in the fall.
Tavares Cooper, 25, Chester, has been arrested on attempted murder and related offenses in the shooting on Oct. 21 near Exit 3, Chester.
Also sought are Naere Alexander-Thorpe, 22, Upland, and Jamade McMillian, 25, Upper Chichester, on the same charges.
Cooper was committed to the George W. Hill
Correctional Facility in lieu of $750,000 bail after arraignment by District Judge Diane Holefelder. He was arrested
this week, but no particulars were given.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thorpe and McMillan are asked to contact the state police Media station

There is a cash reward of $2,000 for information leading to another arrest in the shooting.
Troopers said that on Oct. 21 shortly after 2 p.m., a male victim walked into Taylor Hospital with a gunshot wound to an arm. The victim advised hospital staff that he was shot while traveling northbound on I-95 near Exit 3.
Criminal investigators from the Media station responded to the hospital and interviewed the victim. While at the hospital, they observed the victim’s vehicle to have damage from recent gunfire. Troopers located the crime scene on I-95 and recovered ballistic evidence, state police said.
Through investigation, three perpetrators were identified as being involved.
Further details were not provided.
Troopers did not mention the earlier shooting on the interstate.
There was a shooting on Oct. 7. That gunfire at mile marker 1.6 killed a 41-year-old Brookhaven man and injured a 42-year-old Chester man.
