Doncic scores 32, Mavericks extend winning streak to four

DALLAS » Luka Doncic scored 32 points, and the Dallas Mavericks matched their longest winning streak of the season at four games in a 146-111 rout of the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

Kyrie Irving scored 25 points and Daniel Gafford had 19 points and nine rebounds in his Dallas debut alongside P.J. Washington (14 points) after both were acquired in trades before Thursday’s deadline.

Doncic, who sat the fourth quarter, had nine assists and eight rebounds as Dallas improved to 4-0 with Doncic and Irving in the lineup since Irving’s return from a sprained thumb.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 25 points for the Thunder, who got Gordon Hayward from the Hornets at the deadline but aren’t expected to play the 2017 All-Star before next week’s All-Star break.

CLIPPERS 112, PISTONS 106 » Paul George scored 33 points and Kawhi Leonard added 24 as Los Angeles rallied in the fourth quarter and denied Detroit its first three-game win streak of the season.

George scored 15 points in the fourth, hitting back-to-back 3-pointers that capped an 11-0 run and pushed the Clippers ahead to stay.

The Clippers got a spark off the bench from Amir Coffey in the fourth when he hit two 3-pointers. James Harden, who finished with 14 points, eight assists and six rebounds, made three consecutiv­e free throws to give the Clippers their first lead since early in the second.

Jaden Ivey scored 23 points to lead the Pistons, who dropped their 10th in a row to the Clippers. Cade Cunningham had 22 points and 10 assists, and Jalen Duren had 10 points and 18 rebounds. Simone Fontecchio added 20 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
