Geraldine H. Richenderfer

Geraldine “Gerry” Helen (Kodan) Richenderfer, 87, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 27, 2024.

She was the second daughter of the late Felix Kodan and Helen (Kazmierski) Kodan Mattey.

Gerry was a registered nurse at Riddle Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Gerry was a devoted matriarch who never missed the opportunity to celebrate every birthday, anniversary, and life milestone in her family. She delighted in spoiling her loved ones, and was happiest when she was with her family, who were the center of her world, and the joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, the late Joseph L. Richenderfer; her loving daughter, Karen Woods; and her older sister, Eleanor L. Mikula.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Richenderfer; her sons, Mark Richenderfer (Valerie), and David Richenderfer (Michelle); her son-in-law, Thomas A. Woods; her grandchildren, Nicole M. Woods (Stefi Varghese), Sherry E. Woods, Alex J. Richenderfer, Brad J. Richenderfer, Amy L. Richenderfer, and Abbie L. Richenderfer; her sister-in-law, Naomi L. Richenderfer; and her many nieces, nephews, greatnieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 9 to 10:20 a.m. at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, 19073, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
