Craddock’s homer leads offensive parade for Springfiel­d

Ava Craddock smashed a home run, and Ryleigh Frye added a double and four RBIs to help Springfiel­d claim an 11-1 victory over Strath Haven in a Central League softball game Monday afternoon.

Craddock, Frye, Maggi Poiesz and Payton Feeney had two hits each for the Cougars.

Megan Kent belted her second home run in as many games for the Fords. Olivia Carter racked up five strikeouts in a one-hit shutout. Grace Ciochetto, Lucy Ardizzi and Alli Daly each doubled.

Caitlyn Senkow led the way for the Green Raiders, going 3-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs. Maddie Gordon and Carly McCarron each had two hits and three RBIs.

Addison Najmola earned the win from the circle for the Green Raiders.

Alaina Sareyka had a hit and an RBI for the Jaguars.

Chloe Bleckley’s four goals and six draw controls helped Archbishop Carroll roll to an 18-5 victory over Villa Maria in nonleague action.

Sienna Golden, Sam Hewitt and Claire Sexton recorded hat tricks for the Patriots (5-0).

Boys Lacrosse

Spencer Meile tallied a hat trick, and Matt Ferry supplied a goal and two assists during Penncrest’s 11-4 triumph over Devon Prep.

Goalie Caden Paukstis stopped 12 shots for the Lions. Ben Kauffman, Quinn Finnegan and Owen Thompson (one goal, two assists) combined to go 14 of 17 on faceoffs.

Golf

Cici Curran carded a low round of 42 to lead Agnes Irwin to a 239-364 victory over Springside Chestnut Hill Academy at Gulph Mills Golf Club.

Anna Ruffo added a 43 and Makayla Stone 45.
