Ohio sets state exporting record
Businesses in Ohio exported $52 billion worth of goods last year, setting a new state record, the Ohio Development Services Agency announced Friday.
“This continued growth shows the strength of our business community and our export assistance programs,” said David Goodman, the agency’s director, in a statement.
In 2014, Ohio exported goods and services to more than 200 countries and territories, officials said.
Ohio offers business tools such as International Trade Assistance Centers, which are strategically placed around the state. The centers are the first point of contact for entrepreneurs interested in doing business overseas, officials said.
