Free Volksmarch planned for April 4

A Volksmarch, a free, noncompetitive walk open to everyone, will be held April 4 beginning at Arby’s Restaurant, 615 E. Main St. The trail will be on the city streets of Lebanon, passing through historic downtown and the surrounding area. Walkers are invited to start anytime between 9 a.m. and noon. Participants are free to walk at their own pace, but must complete the trail by 3 p.m.

Sponsored by the Bulls Run Ramblers Volkssport Club of Middletown, a volksmarch is an outdoor walk of about six miles in length. A shorter trail will also be available. Both the six mile trail and shorter trail will be difficult for wagons and strollers.

Commemorative awards from previous Bulls Run Ramblers walks will be available for a moderate fee. For more information, call 937-746-9394.
