Road closing for widening project

East Alkaline Springs Road will be closed at the Dixie Drive intersection for four days starting Monday, according to Rich Hopkins, city of Vandalia’s Communications manager.

The road closure is needed while construction workers continue with the Dixie Drive widening project. This portion of the project includes putting in a new gravel base and asphalt.

Detour information will be posted during the time of the road closure.
