The Buccaneers believe Winston can shorten the long road back to respectability. There’s been chatter about the Titans taking Marcus Mariota, but it’s too early to give up on quarterback Zach Mettenberger, and Williams will be an elite difference maker. Next to quarterback, edge rushers are the most coveted players in today’s league and are especially high on the Jaguars’wish list. His explosive speed gives White a slight edge over Amari Cooper. The positive test for marijuana might dissuade some teams from taking Gregory this high, but not the Redskins. As bad as the Browns need a receiver, they could trade up for one of the top three available. But if they stay put, Shelton will be a solid addition to the defensive line. and Jarvis Jones still a work in progress, Kikaha gives the Steelers the presence they need on the edge. Replacing Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley is the Lions’ top priority. The Cardinals would love to add a backfield complement to Andre Ellington. Jordan Gross’ abrupt retirement last July has the Panthers on the hunt for a left tackle who will anchor the line for years. While the Ravens may have more pressing needs in the secondary, receiver is a focal point as well with Steve Smith aging and Torrey Smith off to San Francisco. If there’s one guy who isn’t scared of players with character issues, it’s Jerry Jones. With Julius Thomas off to Jacksonville, Williams will be a solid replacement for one of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets. He would be the highest drafted center since Pittsburgh took Maurkice Pouncey 18th in 2010, which illustrates how big the need is for the Colts.
