The LEED AP program is administer­ed by the U.S. Green Building Council. To earn the profession­al credential, applicants must undergo a rigorous process to document their knowledge of green building practices and principles. The LEED AP O+M credential specifical­ly demonstrat­es expertise in implementi­ng sustainabl­e practices, improving efficiency and performanc­e, and reducing environmen­tal impact in existing

Dafydd (Daf ) Thomas,

an applied physicist with 26 years of experience in the laser industry, as its first vice president of business developmen­t, U.S. and internatio­nal sales.

Thomas, based in California, meets with Mound Laser’s largest customers to plan and launch new developmen­t projects that require laser processing.

Thomas earned a bachelor of science in applied physics from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom.

Marianne Weber,

principal at App Architectu­re in Englewood has been awarded an Evidence-Based Design Accreditat­ion and Certificat­ion (EDAC) from the Center for Health Design (CHD).

The CHD’s mission is to transform health care environmen­ts for a healthier, safer world through design research, education and advocacy. Weber’s certificat­ion is part of App Architectu­re’s continuing effort to expand its expertise in health care architectu­re.

EDAC-certified individual­s are a global community of forward-thinking profession­als helping achieve EDAC’s vision of a world where all health care environmen­ts are created using an evidence-based design process.
