Calling all writers. It’s time to share your best work through the Dayton.com/Antioch Writers’ Workshop Creative Writing Contest.
Up for grabs is a full scholarship and partial scholarships to the 30th annual Antioch Writers’ Workshop Summer Program, July 11-17, in addition to the chance to have your work published at Dayton.com.
Here is what you need to know about the contest:
Contest is open to those age 15 and up who live in the greater Dayton area.

Stories/essays must be no more than 2,000 words. Flash fiction entries must be no more than 300 words.

Entries must be printed out, double-spaced, 12-point font, and mailed to Antioch Writers’ Workshop Creative Writing Contest, c/o Antioch University Midwest, 900 Dayton St., Yellow Springs, OH 45387. Be sure to specify the category you’re entering along with your first and last name and contact information.
Prizes:
The Best in Show winner (one top winner selected from among the top winners in each category) will receive a full scholarship to the 30th annual Summer Program, July 11-17 at Antioch University Midwest. First-place winners in each of the three categories will get a $125 scholarship to apply toward the full week’s cost for the workshop or any a la carte options of the 30th annual Summer Program. The best of show winner as well as first, second and third-place winners in each category will have their entries published at Dayton.com. They also will be recognized in the Dayton Daily News and on the Antioch Writers’ Workshop web site, email newsletter and social media pages.
All entries must be postmarked by May 11 in order to arrive at AWW office by May 15.
Winners will be selected by a panel that includes representatives from Dayton.com, the Antioch Writers’ Workshop and the Dayton Daily News. Winners will be notified in late May.
