This is the 21st year for the Dayton Visual Arts Center’s main event — the Annual Art Auction. But 2015 marks the first year for an Auction Kickoff & Preview Party. It will take place April 15, nine days before the auction.

“This year’s Auction Kick Off and Preview Party will be an extra big, fun party for our longtime supporters or anyone who may be new to the Art Auction,” said DVAC executive director Eva Buttacavoli. “Event guests can also check out six of the best, brightest and hottest up-and-coming local artists in Eva’s Picks ‘Artists-to-Watch’ mini-show. These artists may be new to the Dayton art scene, but their talents will soon have everyone talking about them.”

Guests will also enjoy a Live Auction Reveal and #dvacselfie, a commissioned photo series of local collectors by local photographer Bill Franz.

The Preview Party will feature Dayton Daily News senior editor Ron Rollins as emcee.

There will be a cash bar at the party, with appetizers prepared by chef Jack Skilliter of Corner Kitchen.

Art Auction tickets will be available for purchase at this preview event. Those who can’t make it to this event can see all of the 109 works up for auction on DVAC’s website.
