City council selected a new city manager, Gary Burkholder, who has been the administrator for a central Ohio village,

Counc il vote d unanimously to approve the hiring ofGary L.Burkholde r for the position.
For ne arly four ye ars, Burkholde r has be e n the administrator for the village ofH artford, whic h is loc ate d in the northwe st c orne r ofLic king County.
Burkholde r will start July 1, and his salary will b e ab out $95,0 0 0 annually.

Counc ilwoman A nnie Kirklin told Burkholde r that he stood out from the re st ofthe c andidate sb e c ause he appe are d to have “forward thinking.”
“W hic h is what we ’re all c ommitte d to doing is b e ing more forward thinking, more strate gic in our planning and b e ing more aggre ssive ab out whe re we want the c ity to go and putting the things in plac e to ge t the re ,” Kirklin said.
