“Documentary Now” — Former “Saturday Night Live” castmates Fred Armisen and Bill Hader immerse themselves in the mockumentary genre with this o eat six-part series that lovingly parodies notable documentaries and “honors some of the most important stories that didn’t actually happen.”
Lending humorous gravitas to the endeavor is Helen Mirren, who serves as series host. 10 p.m., Thursday, IFC.
