Neighborho­od sees vehicle break-ins

Fairborn police are investigat­ing a series of vehicle break-ins in the area of Ironwood Drive and Routzong Drive.

Sgt. Mark Stannard said Wednesday there have been five theft reports filed, but it’s believed additional vehicles were rummaged through.

“In all of the reported incidents, vehicles had been left unlocked,” according to a media release.

Stolen items included clothing, money, credit cards and checks.

Surveillan­ce cameras captured what looks like two males wearing hooded sweatshirt­s entering a vehicle, but no further descriptio­n was given.

Anyone with info on the thefts can call Fairborn police at 937-7543000 or the tip line at 937-754-3018. 38, was re-indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury Wednesday to add new charges of possession of heroin; possession of crack; assault; and disrupting public services.

These charges are in addition to the existing two counts of kidnapping and two counts of weapons under disability charges. Yeldell has been in Montgomery County jail since Dec. 5.

The charges stem from a Dec. 5 incident inside a home on Shoop Avenue. Court records show two victims were with Yeldell when some money came up missing and he thought they took it.

He will be arraigned in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court on Dec. 31. glasses and a backward hat. He was believed to be between 30 and 40, with a heavy build and short beard.

The suspect fled the scene in a silver or gray vehicle. He got away with between $100 and $200, according to officers.
