Fried green tomatoes, burger-eating contest and more at this festival

There’s an under-theradar festival in town, and the name alone is pretty enticing.

The seventh annual Rock ‘N’ Green Tomato Festival in Miamisburg, sponsored by MidUSA Credit Union, kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10 with the Rock ‘N’ Donut 5K registration in conjunction with Bear Creek Donuts and doesn’t stop until the wee hours of the night.

Events and entertainment will be performed live outside in the Riverfront Park next to Ron’s Pizza in Downtown Miamisburg.

Prepare yourselves for a family-friendly day filled with food, vendors, food contests, a cornhole tournament and some great free live rock ‘n’ roll music throughout the entire day.

A hamburger eating contest is in the works, as well as family-friendly activities like bouncy houses, a local celebrity dunk tank, and jitterbug & hula hoop competitions.

Festival organizers recommend you bring your own chairs.
