Biggest area realty broker merges with Ind. firm

The largest residentia­l real estate brokerage in the region has merged with another powerhouse in home sales.

Coldwell Banker Heritage, headquarte­red in Beavercree­k, announced it has merged with Lingle Real Estate Inc. in Richmond, Ind., creating Coldwell Banker Lingle.

Before the merger, both real estate firms were leaders in their markets for decades.

Coldwell Banker Heritage, which just turned 50 years old, has close to 380 real estate agents and said it is on pace to hit $950 million in sales volume overall this year.

Coldwell just opened a new office in Washington Twp., and also has sales offices in Troy, Springboro, Springfiel­d, Vandalia, Kettering, Huber Heights and Beavercree­k. Coldwell also recently brought on an experience­d commercial broker, Ric Moody, to grow Coldwell’s commercial real estate side in the region.

Paul Lingle, son of Bill Lingle, who started the company in 1959, will continue to manage the sales and operations of Coldwell Banker Lingle, according to a release sent Thursday night.

supported by Coldwell Banker Heritage’s marketing and technology resources, and Coldwell Banker will gain a presence in Wayne County and eastern Indiana, where Lingle Real Estate has long been a trusted name, the release stated.
