Ted Neeley (Jesus) will be at the events, discussing the film, hosting VIP receptions and participating in meet-andgreets. Sunday’s screening will be a sing-along and costume contest. 2017 MAX MAY MEMORIAL HOLOCAUST ART EXHIBITION: 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at The Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park, N., Dayton. Each year Renate Frydman and her family honor the memory of her grandfather Max May, an artist and architect, by sponsoring an art contest that encourages area students in grades 5-12 to focus on the Holocaust as an inspiration for a world that is free of racism, disrespect and intolerance.
ACTING UP: KABUKI IN JAPANESE PRINTS: 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at The Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park, N., Dayton. With the rise of kabuki theaters in the pleasure quarters of Japan as a popular form of mass entertainment, many woodblock prints depicted these theatrical scenes.
