With the rise of kabuki theaters in the pleasure quarters of Japan as a popular form of mass entertainment, many woodblock prints depicted these theatrical scenes.

HOLIDAY GLASS ORNAMENT WORKSHOPS WITH STUDIO REGINA: 10 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. at Dayton Society of Artists - DSA, 48 High St., Dayton. Make your own glass holiday ornaments in one of the two available workshops. You will learn basic skills for making fused glass projects. Participants will be using various colorful types of glass including sheets, frit, stringers and confetti to create their own designs.
