A number of recent updates add today’s comforts and a neutral décor to the tri-level home at 4650 Rathburn Drive in Clayton.

Built in 1964, this home benefits from a list of updates completed in 2014, including the garage door, the front entry door, light fixtures, flooring, fresh paint, appliances, bathroom vanities, toilets, mirrors, tubs and faucets.

Before 2014 the list of replacements includes the roof, windows, vinyl siding, water heater and the furnace and air conditioner.

“A one-year home war-

ranty is included for additional peace of mind,” said Bryan Ogletree of RE/MAX Alliance Realty. “It’s a spacious home with both living and family rooms, and it has a (detached) hobby shed with electrical wiring and an air conditioner.”

Offering more than 2,020 square feet of living space, the home is listed for $139,900.

Long mulched flowerbeds stretch along the walkway at the front of the home. The double driveway connects to a second paved driveway that curves to one side for extra parking space.

Under the covered front entrance, a full-view storm door protects the front door, which has an upper halfmoon window. Inside the central entry earth-toned vinyl tile covers the floor and extends into the breakfast area and kitchen. A guest coat closet is nearby. The interior décor includes textured ceilings and walls painted in a neutral color.

A wide opening leads into the living room, which measures 20 feet by 12 feet. Neutral carpet covers the floor and two front windows add plenty of natural light. The living room connects through another wide opening into the dining room, which is surrounded by a chair rail.

The end of the entry leads into the breakfast area, where sliding glass doors open to the covered patio and the large fenced backyard. At the far corner of the yard a raised garden bed is framed with wood timbers.

White cabinets with stainless-steel hardware and neutral countertops surround the U-shaped work space in the kitchen. The outer counter, which holds a slide-in, smooth-surface range and hooded vent, is accessible from the breakfast area side. The double sink sits under a window facing the patio.

Other appliances replaced in 2014 include the refrigerator and the dishwasher.

Neutral carpet covers the floor on all of the upper level, which accommodates three bedrooms and two full baths. Both the hall bath and the private bath adjacent to the main bedroom suite have been updated with tub and shower combinations and raised vanities topped with grained countertops.

In the main bedroom are two double wall closets with sliding doors. Each of the other two bedrooms has a double wall closet with sliding doors. One bedroom has a framed alcove, which serves as an entertainment center, and an upper collectibles shelf that wraps around one corner. Windows in all three bedrooms are shaded with wide-slat blinds. A doublesized linen closet sits at the end of the hall.

The fourth bedroom is located on the lower level. It has a large, above-ground window, neutral carpet and a wall closet. Nearby is a halfbath. The long utility room has laundry hookups and a deep sink at one end.

Offering plenty of relaxation and recreation space, the lower-level family room benefits from neutral carpet, painted paneled walls and a decorative gas fireplace angled in one corner with white-brick-patterned facing. Above-ground windows add natural light, and there are cable TV hookups. Paneled walls surround the oversized two-car garage, which has a corner workshop with built-in shelves. The detached hobby shed, which sits inside the fenced back yard, has finished walls with a pegboard space, a window and two light fixtures. With an Englewood mailing address, this Clayton location is about two miles from Interstate 70 and from shopping locations in Englewood.
