Miamisburg company to add jobs
A Miamisburg company plans to triple the number of jobs it provides in the city as part of a $7 million investment, documents show.
Staco Energy Products intends to add 44 jobs with the construction of a 100,000 square foot facility proposed on Technical Drive. The manufacturer of power equipment has 22 employees at its corporate headquarters at 1229 Byers Road, records show.
Staco has a manufacturing plant at 301 Gaddis Blvd. in Dayton, according to its website.
City records show the company plans to consolidate operations at the proposed new site in Miamisburg as part of a move that will give it a $4 million payroll in that city by 2021.
Raising Cane’s submitted plans to the city of Beavercreek in November 2016 that called for restaurant to be built on a vacant tract on Kemp Road just east of North Fairfield Road. Those plans were approved by Beavercreek City Council. But the project stalled.
Jeffrey M. McGrath, planning and development director for the city of Beavercreek, said the Kemp Road location “is dead as far as I am concerned. I look forward to working with Raising Cane’s to help them find another site in Beavercreek. We are actively working on that.”
Michael D. Lofino Jr., one of the property owners involved in the snag that is holding up the deal, said he is taking legal steps to resolve the snag. “I can affirmatively state that the deal is NOT dead,” Lofino said. retail building along Wilmington Pike on the western edge of the Cornerstone of Centerville development. The building also houses three other restaurants: MOD Pizza, First Watch and Firehouse Subs.
