Centerville City Schools was one of a select few Ohio school districts to qualify for the Auditor of State Award with Distinction for excellent record keeping .A recent financial audit of the district by Auditor of State Dave Yost’s office returned a clean audit report.

The award was presented by Joe Braden, the West Regional Liaison for the state auditor’s office, to Centerville Schools Treasurer Mitch Biederman and his staff during the Centerville Board of Education meeting on Jan. 22, 2018. According to Braden, this is the first time Centerville has received the award.

“It’s important to note that this puts the Centerville City school district in a very select group,” Braden said at the board meeting. “The Auditor of State’s office audits nearly 6,000 entities, and less than 300 are even eligible for this award.”
