2nd suspect in shooting in custody
29-year-old man killed in March 7 robbery at a Hampton Inn.
A second man wanted in connection to a robbery and fatal shooting of a Fairborn Hampton Inn clerk in March has been arrested, according to jail records.
Disean K. Graham, 21, of Dayton, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. Monday and was listed as an inmate of the Greene County Jail, records show. Graham is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 15, Fairborn police previously said.
Graham was captured in Montgomery County and was transferred to Fairborn police custody, Fairborn police Sgt. Willard Watts said.
“It’s an ongoing investigation,” said Watts, declining to give additional details.
In March, Michael D. McLendon, 25, of Dayton, was arrested and charged in connection to both the robbery and fatal shooting. He remains in the Greene County Jail on $1 million bond and could face the death penalty, prosecutors said.
Hampton Inn employee Andrew Day, 29, was shot and killed during the March 7 robbery of the Fairborn hotel on Paramount Place. The hotel is between Interstate 675 and Colonel Glenn Highway, near the campus of Wright State University.
A 911 caller told dispatchers he and others at the hotel found Day shot behind the counter. He also said that others in the lobby were applying pressure to the victim’s wound as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Day was a 2007 graduate of Tecumseh High School and married his wife in 2013, according to Greene County Probate Court records. He also was a parttime photographer who worked with families “to capture special moments,” according to his social media.
