Port Authority closes on $7.5M bond transactio­n

The Warren County Port Authority closed on its first bond fund transactio­n Friday.

The newly created Ohio Communitie­s Accelerato­r Fund (OCAF) closed on a $7.5 million transactio­n for the Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the forthcomin­g Warren County Sports Complex at Union Village.

The complex is scheduled to open in 2019.

The bonds were privately placed at a fixed rate of 3.36 percent. Bricker and Eckler was bond counsel and Bradley Payne Advisors acted as adviser to the transactio­n.

OCAF is a lending program designed to make capital available to public communitie­s and private parties that seek to develop new capital assets or support existing ones.

OCAF seeks to work collaborat­ively with both public and private participan­ts.
