A man facing a public indecency charge in Fairborn was arrested after he allegedly exposed himself in a vehicle while he was watching a girls softball team practice, according to 911 records.

Police have confirmed the arrest of 63-year-old Charles Akers, who has been jailed since his arrest Saturday evening at a park near South Central Avenue and Ohio Street.

This news organization obtained the 911 call from Fairborn police through a public records request.

“We’re at a softball practice for a whole bunch of little girls and there was a gentleman that was over here that exposed himself inside the car that was sitting over here watching these girls practice,” the caller told the dispatcher.

The caller described the man’s vehicle, a gold fourdoor Honda, and provided the license plate, according to the 911 record.

“We have multiple officers in the area looking for that vehicle now,” the emergency dispatcher told the caller.

Akers is due to be arraigned in Fairborn Municipal Court on Thursday.
