Staco building new facility in Miamisburg

Construction has started on a 96,000-plus-square-foot home for Staco Energy Products in Miamisburg.

The building will house office, manufacturing and warehousing functions, totalling 96,168 square feet, with more than 13,000 square feet for offices.

Located on Technical Drive in Miamisburg, the facility will allow Staco to consolidate its area operations under one roof. Staco has 62 employees and said it expects to add four people in the next three years.

Currently, the company has a manufacturing operation at 301 Gaddis Blvd. in Dayton and a corporate headquarters at 1229 Byers Road, Miamisburg.

Staco Energy specializes in voltage control technologies. The first Staco Energy variable transformer was manufactured in Dayton in 1937.

“The new facility will allow us to enhance our training and research and development capabilities,” Jeff Hoffman, Staco president, said in a statement. “It will provide a platform to allow us to continue our accelerated growth, more than a 50 percent increase in revenues in the last five years.”

“We are pleased to have been selected by Staco to construct their new manufacturing facility, allowing them to be prepared for future growth and technological developments,” Denny Whitehead, Miller-Valentine Group senior vice president, said in the same statement.
