Staco building new facility in Miamisburg

Constructi­on has started on a 96,000-plus-square-foot home for Staco Energy Products in Miamisburg.

The building will house office, manufactur­ing and warehousin­g functions, totalling 96,168 square feet, with more than 13,000 square feet for offices.

Located on Technical Drive in Miamisburg, the facility will allow Staco to consolidat­e its area operations under one roof. Staco has 62 employees and said it expects to add four people in the next three years.

Currently, the company has a manufactur­ing operation at 301 Gaddis Blvd. in Dayton and a corporate headquarte­rs at 1229 Byers Road, Miamisburg.

Staco Energy specialize­s in voltage control technologi­es. The first Staco Energy variable transforme­r was manufactur­ed in Dayton in 1937.

“The new facility will allow us to enhance our training and research and developmen­t capabiliti­es,” Jeff Hoffman, Staco president, said in a statement. “It will provide a platform to allow us to continue our accelerate­d growth, more than a 50 percent increase in revenues in the last five years.”

“We are pleased to have been selected by Staco to construct their new manufactur­ing facility, allowing them to be prepared for future growth and technologi­cal developmen­ts,” Denny Whitehead, Miller-Valentine Group senior vice president, said in the same statement.
