Another Broken Egg Cafe, which has operated a restaurant in Austin Landing since late 2014, will open its second Dayton-area location this fall.

The new restaurant will be located in the former LaRosa’s Pizza restaurant space at 2453 Esquire Drive in Beavercreek. LaRosa’s operated in that space from 2004 until March 2018.

“The time is right,” Another Broken Egg franchisee Mike Craddick said. “And Beavercreek is a place I want to be.”

Craddick said the restaurant will seat about 160 and will employ 45. Plans call for a mid-October opening, the franchisee said.

“The first location for Another Broken Egg Cafe in Austin Landing has been a successful venture,” Craddick said in a release. Plans call for adding more Dayton-area locations after the Beavercreek restaurant opens, although no new sites have been selected, the franchisee said.

“We’ll go slow and steady,” Craddick said in an interview.

Another Broken Egg serves breakfast, brunch and lunch with a Southern-inspired menu that includes cocktails. It operates 60 locations in 12 states, with many more locations under development.

Another Broken Egg is one of several restaurants to announce a location in Beavercreek. R Taco also has sought a liquor permit to be located at the former Caddy’s in Beavercreek at 2760 Towne Drive.

The first Dayton-area R Taco restaurant opened on Brown Street in March 2017.
