Since that time, nearly 9,000 people from 44 states and nine countries have completed the Donut Trail.
The Ohio Ice Cream Trail is a 15-stop ice cream trail spanning 13 cities. Our favorite dairy farm made the list. Young’s Jersey Dairy, located at 6880 Springfield-Xenia Road in Yellow Springs, offers a lot more than just great ice cream, though. A fully functioning dairy farm, batting cages and even a year-round restaurant also operate on the property, making it a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike. Statewide faves Jeni’s and Graeters made the list by ohio.org as well.
Who needs the Kentucky Bourbon Trail when you can enjoy plenty of amazing drinks close to home? The Darke County Whiskey, Wine and Ale Trail features stops including Indian Creek Distillery, the oldest in Ohio, and the 2017 Ohio Magazine Best Winery winner, the Winery at Versailles.
Not all trails are about the food and booze. Learn about Dayton’s rich history in flight and aviation with a trip along the Dayton Aviation Trail. The trail includes 16 stops, including Carillon Historical Park, The WrightDunbar Interpretive Center, the Wright B Flyer, WACO Field in Troy, the National Aviation Hall of Fame, the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
Our addition to Buzzfeed’s list
We’d like to add one more trail to the list: The Dayton Ale Trail. “The Dayton Ale Trail” that includes a prize as a reward for those who visit each and every Miami Valley brewery. Pick up a copy of The Dayton Ale Trail passport at any of the 19 participating Dayton-area breweries.
Those beer enthusiasts who complete the trail by visiting each brewery on the list and collecting every brewery’s stamp on their passport can stop at Crafted & Cured in Dayton to pick up a Dayton Ale Trail 32-ounce “howler” container for craft beers on tap.
