Career conversations
Job seekers and career explorers are invited to learn about professions that interest them, directly from local residents who work in those fields.
On the Job: Career Conversations is an opportunity for smallgroup discussion about what it takes to work in the fields of Banking, Veterinary Medicine, Funeral Services and Computer Aided Design.
The program takes place at the Miamisburg Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, 545 E. Linden Ave., on Thursday, Sept. 6, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Another session, with representatives from different careers, is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Main Library in Dayton.
Guests at the Miamisburg Branch Library on September 6 are:
■ Mike Metz, Senior Project Designer, Barge Design
■ Jason Rogers, Farmers & Merchants Bank
■ Jessica Stebbins, Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home
■ Valerie White, Great Miami Veterinary Care
The October 29 session at the Main Library will feature a professional photographer, electrician and pharmacist. Both sessions are free and open to the public; registration is not required.
