MacAulay Brown granted $47M Air Force contract
Beavercreek-based MacAulay-Brown Inc. has been awarded a $47 million task order by the U.S. Air Force for technical assistance in weapons testing and analysis work.
The four-year prime award continues the work of the firm — sometimes called “MacB” — over the last five years, the company said in a release.
The objective is to improve test and evaluation strategy development and analysis for all Department of Defense weapon systems programs, MacB said in its release. Most of the work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Principal engineers, senior technology specialists, scientists and program managers from MacB’s Advanced Technology Group will work for more than 40 major weapons development efforts, the business said.
MacB has some 1,500 employees worldwide — including about 450 in the Dayton area. said she received a $10,000 grant from the Miami Valley Community Action Partnership to expand her shop, which now sells natural based products for hair and skin care.
Ramsey said the stylists will be focused on styling curly and afro-textured hair, braiding, locs and educating clients on how to care for their natural hair.
“I’m so honored that the county supports and believes in Puff,” Ramsey said in a press release. “It’s a true indicator that the city supports Black owned businesses and strives to be inclusive as Dayton and Montgomery County continue to see exciting developments.”
Ramsey is anticipating a soft launch in October and a grand opening in February, and is now starting a wait list for the services. The business launched last year in the St. Clair Lofts building at 37 S. Saint Clair St.
