Fairborn firm awarded $24M defense contract
Peerless Technologies Corp., of Fairborn, has been awarded a $24.4 million task order for modeling and simulation software development, operation and sustainment.
This contract provides for the design, analysis, development, operation, and sustainment of both commercial and non-commercial software products to better provide and improve the nuclear enterprise’s analytic and decision making capabilities, the Department of Defense said in an announcement.
Work will be performed in Fairborn and is expected to be completed by Aug. 26, 2023.
Peerless emerged the winner from seven offers received, the DoD said. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity, the department said.
Peerless has about 335 employees, including nearly 200 based in Fairborn, and is one of the Dayton area’s largest local contractors.
