of Choice. LeadingAge­Ohio recently selected top employers from the state. LeadingAge is the advocate of nonfor-profit services for older Ohioans.

A Centervill­e fixture for over 70 years, Bethany Village is locally owned and operated. Bethany Village is sponsored by Graceworks Lutheran Services. Graceworks employs over 1,100 individual­s. Nearly half work at Bethany Village.

The Silver Employer of Choice designatio­n runs through the end of 2019. This acknowledg­es a strong commitment to high quality recruiting and retention standards.

ment. Bethany Village holds a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Dorothy Lane Market (DLM) has been named a

Master Marketer in Supervalu’s annual Master Marketer competitio­n, which recognizes best in-class marketing efforts by independen­t grocery retailers served by the company’s wholesale distributi­on business.

More than 450 marketing programs were submitted for the 2018 Master Marketer awards which are judged based on the creativity, clarity, and effectiven­ess of the

stores’ marketing efforts. Entries were assessed by professors and grad students from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and California Polytechni­c State University located in San Luis Obispo, California.

DLM was honored in the Tier 2 category, which includes stores larger than 30,000 square feet.

DLM won out of more than 450 entries and was also recognized in the Fresh Department category.

Warren County Small Business Developmen­t Center Executive Director Michael Stater has been selected as the 2018 Ohio SBDC State

Star. He was nominated and chosen by his peers in Ohio for his work ethic, production results and profession­al developmen­t. Among his accomplish­ments, he created the Warren County Business Expo five years ago and it has grown to be the largest B2B event in the county. He continues to manage the event, which connects entreprene­urs with experts and solution providers and features high-profile speakers.

Stater has increased the Warren County Small Business Developmen­t Alliance from 27 members in 2015 to 39 members in 2018. In the past two fiscal years, Stater achieved 300 percent of grant quota for new business starts and 166 percent of grant quota for capital injection.

“Mike has made significan­t and measurable contributi­ons to enhance the quality of life in Warren County,” Warren County Port Authority Director Martin Russell said.
