City Council meeting

The Lebanon City Council Is meeting in work session on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 50 S. Broadway.

The council is scheduled to continue pending business including authorizin­g the city manager to sign a a property purchase agreement with the Warren County commission­ers for the purchase of six acres located at 601 N. Broadway Ave., the southwest corner of the county fairground­s, for $210,000.

Other old business includes the plan for expansion of the Golden Lamb, including an area for outdoor dining.

New Business includes an agreement with Rack and Ballauer Excavating for $120,875 for the Sycamore Street parking lot storm sewer and paving improvemen­t project. Also the council is to discuss an agreement with Environmen­tal Remediatio­n

Contractor establishi­ng a guaranteed maximum price of $178,750 for the Turtle Creek Channel Improvemen­ts project located along 200 S. Broadway Ave. as outlined in the City’s Clean Ohio Fund Grant.

In addition, they are to consider a supplement­al appropriat­ion in the fire fund for $10,000 for turnout gear being supported by grant proceeds.

Also up for discussion is a joint meeting with planning commission for a presentati­on of the West Main Street Area Plan and a certificat­e of appreciati­on for Chelsea Poff to be presented at the Sept. 11 Council Meeting. The council might also meet in executive session.
