The Amazing Human Body, 8 PM on Ch. 16 and Ch. 48: This three-part documentary miniseries, which airs tonight in its entirety, uses cutting-edge graphics and visual technology to reveal the surprisingly beautiful biological processes that the most sophisticated organism on Earth — the human body — uses to keep people alive. The miniseries premiere, “Grow,” explores how humans start out as a single cell, then grow into beings made up of 37 trillion cells over the course of their lives. The hour also explores new technologies aimed at helping humans lead longer, healthier lives.
MasterChef, 8 PM on Ch. 19 and Ch. 45: The three home cooks still standing face their last challenge, which is straightforward but carries the highest stakes yet in the two-hour Season 15 finale. Simply put, each cook is challenged to prepare the best three-course meal of his or her life for judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Aaron Sanchez. The candidate who succeeds at the highest level wins the first prize of $250,000, plus the title of this season’s MasterChef.
I Feel Bad, 10:02 PM on Ch. 2 and Ch. 5: Amy Poehler is an executive producer of this new comedy about a woman (Sarayu Blue, “No Tomorrow”) who appears to fulfill her various roles in life well, but passes off some of her obligations to others when she finds it necessary, whether on the home or work fronts. Though she does indeed feel bad in a lot of circumstances, she gradually learns to accept her imperfections. The cast also includes Paul Adelstein (“Prison Break”) and Johnny Pemberton (“Son of Zorn”).
