Three people have been arrested in the shots-fired incident that led to a campus lockdown at Urbana University on Tuesday, according to police.

Bond was set for all three in Champaign County Municipal Court on Friday.

Hunter Donnan, 18, of Huber Heights faces a trafficking in drugs charge, according to online court records. His bond was set at $2,500 and he is due back in court on Nov. 15.

Ryon Lucas, 21, of Trotwood was charged with aggravated robbery, according to online records. His bond was set at $7,000 and he is due back in court on Nov. 16.

Brandon Craft, 18, from New Carlisle is facing two felony charges — carrying a concealed weapon and trafficking in drugs. His bond was set at $5,000 and he is due back in court on Nov. 13.

Campus police said they began their investigation Tuesday when they received a report of a gunshot fired on campus near a dormitory around 2 p.m.

Urbana police on Thursday confirmed a weapon was discharged during an altercation involving several people in a room at the Sycamore Hall dormitory.

Donnan was arrested Wednesday. Lucas was arrested Thursday afternoon and Craft was arrested Thursday night.

The gunshot triggered an emergency alert that was sent to Urbana University students and staff, urging them to seek shelter.

Urbana University freshman Bailey Draughn said she was taking a nap when she woke up to calls and texts from her roommates.

“Everyone was saying to stay down and stay away from all windows because there was an active shooter on campus is what we were told,” she said. “You don’t know bad things can happen until they actually happen where you are.”

No one was hurt, but police found fragments of the fired slug in the dorm room, according to Urbana police.

Urbana police said they are continuing their investigation into the incident, and more criminal charges could be coming.
