Veterans Day meals and deals

Here’s where to find them around the Miami Valley.

On Veterans Day, this Sunday, several restaurant­s and other businesses are showing their appreciati­on by offering deals to veterans and active-duty military men and women, including free or reduced meals.

Here are some of the establishm­ents in the Miami Valley that have reached out to us to let us know they are offering Veterans Day deals.

Some businesses are extending their offers either before or after Veterans Day. Proof of service is generally required; the forms of proof of service vary by business.

The Chop House

On Sunday and Monday The Chop House restaurant is offering 50 percent off any dine-in lunch or dinner entree to veterans with military ID or in uniform.

Location: Washington Twp.

City Barbeque

City Barbeque will commemorat­e Veterans Day by treating veterans and troops to a meal. All day on Sunday all veterans and U.S. military will receive a free sandwich, two sides and a regular beverage, applicable on either dine-in or carryout orders, at every City Barbeque location.

Bonefish Grill

On Sunday all active and retired service members with a valid military ID can enjoy a compliment­ary Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer at all Bonefish Grill locations.

Locations: Near the Dayton Mall in Miami Twp., and in West Chester

Mimi’s Cafe

Mimi’s Cafe will be saluting active duty military personnel and veterans with a free entree from a special menu all day on Sunday. Honorees with a military ID can choose from any of these menu items with the purchase of a non-alcoholic beverage: SlowRoaste­d Turkey entree, Brioche Cheeseburg­er, Asian Chicken Salad, Brioche French Toast, Breakfast Tacos, Four Buttermilk Griddlecak­es

Locations: The Greene in Beavercree­k; Mason

Red Lobster

Red Lobster will be offering a free appetizer or dessert to veterans, active-duty military and reservists with a valid military ID on Sunday and Monday. Appetizer choices include Sweet Chili Shrimp, Mozzarella Cheesestic­ks, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster and Langostino Pizza, or Signature Shrimp Cocktail. Dessert choices are Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Warm Apple Crostada, Chocolate Wave or Brownie Overboard.

Sweeney’s Seafood Bar & Grill

Sweeney’s will be giving all veterans three compliment­ary Key Lime tarts to end their meal.

Location: Centervill­e

Red Robin

Red Robin is offering all veterans and active duty military members a free Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at participat­ing locations.

Locations: Miller Lane in Butler Twp./Vandalia, near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercree­k, and in West Chester

Pilot Flying J

Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers in North America, is treating active-duty and retired military veterans to a free breakfast today through Monday, Nov. 10-12. This includes a free Pilot Coffee of any size with a choice of a PJ Fresh breakfast sandwich, packaged pastry item or a Cinnabon Center of the Roll.

On Sunday veterans and active military personnel can enjoy a free dounut of their choice at participat­ing Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant­s nationwide, no purchase necessary

Panera Bread

Note: This offer is for Monday, not the actual Veterans Day holiday. Veterans can receive a free You-Pick-Two meal that includes any two half-portions soup, salad, sandwiches, flatbreads, or mac and cheese.

Locations: More than a dozen Panera Bread Cafes throughout the region.

Rapid Fired Pizza

The Kettering-based pizza chain is offering a free single-topping 9-inch or 11-inch pizza to veterans and active-duty military with ID on Sunday. The offer is available for dine-in and carryout, but will not be available via online ordering.

O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

O’Charley’s will honor all active duty and veteran military personnel on both Sunday and Monday when veterans will have their choice of a free meal from a special Veterans Day “Thank You Menu,” which includes O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Fries, HouseMade Chicken Pot Pie, Chopped Steak, Low Country Shrimp or Peach Chutney Chicken.

Chipotle

Buy one get one free entree with valid ID at all restaurant­s on Sunday.

Golden Corral

Applebee’s

Free meal at Applebee’s Grill and Bar Sunday from a select list of entrees.

Bar Louie

Chili’s

Free meal on Sunday from a select list of entrees.
