Art installation by Brave Berlin to be featured at Pyramid Hill
This year, Brave Berlin, the creators of Lumenocity and BLINK Cincinnati, will have an art installation in the pavilion as part of Holiday Lights on the Hill at Pyramid Hill. This is the 20th season for Pyramid Hill’s annual light display.
“We are very excited about Brave Berlin’s installation. It’s going to be stunning and I can’t wait to see it myself. It will be a nice surprise for all of us,” said Lee Knisley Sanders, interim director at Pyramid Hill.
Guests who visit more than once will see something different each time, she said, because the Brave Berlin display will be constantly changing. Guests can view it from three sides as they drive by. A wide variety of holiday pictures and winter themes will be a part of the synchronized display.
Holiday Lights on the Hill at Pyramid Hill offers guests a holiday light experience that brings art and nature together in the 300-acre sculpture park. Each year, the display offers something new and different to highlight the sculpture, gardens and trees.
“The park combines art and nature in an outdoor setting. With the Brave Berlin installation, this is a really nice way to add an art installation that we haven’t had before in a way that connects the art that we have with nature in a new way,” Knisely Sanders said.
With more than a million lights, Hamilton’s popular drive-through light display will be open nightly from Friday, Nov. 16 through Tuesday, Jan. 1. The attraction will open at 6 p.m. each evening.
Holiday Lights on the Hill continues to refine the display with more lights as well as updating the display from glass lights to LED lights, so the park uses less electricity and conserves resources.
“We believe we are greener than we ever have been, because of the number of LED lights we’re now using,” Knisely Sanders said.

Additionally, there’s a series of new arches as guests enter the park.
Pyramid Hill’s crew begins designing the light display in September. In the drivethrough, two-mile round trip, visitors can expect to see light displays close to the road with gardens of light as well as those that go further and deeper into the park’s background and surrounding lakes.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Pyramid Hill’s Holiday Lights on the Hill is a major winter fundraiser for the park. Funds help maintain the 300-plus acre outdoor sculpture park and the Ancient Sculpture Museum. On average, an estimated 20,000 to 25,000 guests visit the annual attraction.
