Miami to protect Bethel

The Miami County commissioners on Thursday, Dec. 6, approved a contract for the sheriff ’s department to provide police protection in Bethel Twp., Miami County, next year.

The agreement calls for the sheriff ’s office to provide 8.5 hours of law enforcement services a day, 365 days a year. The county will be paid $104,902 for the service. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
