ROSEWOOD GALLERY PRESENTS CONNIE CAMPBELL, GINGER OWEN & VICKI VANAMEYDEN: 9 a.m. today through Saturday at Rosewood Arts Centre, 2655 Olson Dr., Kettering. Runs through Dec. 28. Local sculptor Connie R. Campbell uses systematic mathematic­al ratios derived from the Golden Section to develop complex structures of wood and metal based on simple patterns. Michigan-based artists Ginger Owen and Vicki Vanameyden’s Heritage Habitats brings a series of physical spaces for contemplat­ion and invocation of ancestry.

THE NUTCRACKER BALLET:

3 to 5 p.m. at Bellbrook High School, 3737 Upper Bellbrook Road, Bellbrook. The Miami Valley Dance Company presents its 26th annual Nutcracker ballet. Young students from Terre’s Dance Workshop will participat­e. Members of the MVDC will perform all the major dancing roles. Tickets are currently available at $15 for children and adults and can be purchased from cast members or from Terre’s Dance Workshop by calling 435-0503. Group prices are available for organizati­ons of Girl Scouts, Senior Centers and groups of 10 or more. All seats are reserved. Tickets can be purchased at the door as long as tickets are still available.
