Timothy J. Gilbride, Ph. D., 52, the Steve and Anne Odland

Elkhart Hospice House early Saturday morning near his family.

Tim was born in Medina, OH on July 28, 1966 to Virginia

Mae (Kirchner) Gilbride of

Franklin, TN and the late Jerome Harold Gilbride. He married the love of his life, Teresa Marie (Minardi) Gilbride, on October 23, 1993 in Kettering, Ohio. Tim graduated from North Ridgeville High School in 1984 and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude at the University of Dayton. He received his MBA and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Tim sought to add value to everything around him. He had a passion for the pursuit of knowledge which is evident in his research and multiple teaching awards, including being named in November of 2018 to the Top 50 Undergraduate Professors by Poets and Quants. He loved his students and even scheduled his operations around classes to accommodate them. Tim was a devoted and loving father; teaching his children about love, laughter, and music. Some of his greatest joys in life came from reading, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. His love for Teresa was evident throughout the joyful marriage they shared together. He was thoughtful and generous in all aspects of his life, volunteering for the St. Vincent DePaul Society, delivering food to families in crisis at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He is dearly loved by his family and friends and his wit and humor will be especially missed. He never stayed stagnant and continued to grow throughout the entirety of his life, displaying the hardworking spirit which inspired so many people.
