HUBER SCHOOLS CONSIDER 3 FINALISTS FOR NEW LEADER

Huber Heights district to talk to candidates for superinten­dent’s job.

Huber Heights schools are down to three finalists for their superinten­dent post, the district announced Thursday, with final interviews scheduled Feb. 12.

The finalists, chosen from six candidates, are Yellow Springs Superinten­dent Mario Basora, Beavercree­k Assistant Superinten­dent Jason Enix, and Scott Reeves, executive director of secondary education for Westervill­e schools near Columbus.

In addition to final school board interviews, that trio also will meet with a group of school staff, students, parents and community members in a closed, invitation-only forum, according to district officials.

The district’s eventual hire will replace Susan Gunnell, who will retire this summer after working 35 years for the district, the last seven as superinten­dent.
