Stebbins senior combines tech program, internship
The philosophy at Stebbins High School’s Career Technology program is training and education are the key to helping students transform their lives and see their dreams come true.
Stebbins senior Noah Aldridge is currently seeing that vision realized thanks to the school’s Engineering and Robotics program.
Aldridge has been participating in the program since his sophomore year. Noah’s Engineering and Robotics teacher, Jim Prater, has provided him with the opportunity to earn multiple college credits through both the College Credit Plus Program, and the Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium.
Aldridge has also been participating in a paid internship program at Stebbins, where he has been working at Regional Sheet Metal Manufacturing.
“My career tech classes and my internship experiences have shown me that you don’t just make it to wherever you want to go, but you have to build a foundation first and make your way to whatever goal/dream that you have,” said Aldridge.
His goal after high school is to go to college for his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and also earn an associate’s degree in brewing, where he will then use both of his degrees to work his way up to running his own microbrewery.
