Grant-writing workshop

Census Data for Grant Writing will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 7, at Yellow Springs Community Library, 415 Xenia Ave. Free.

Tim Sarko of the U.S. Census Bureau will show the many different sources of census data that can be useful in grant writing. It focuses on data provided by the American Community Survey (ACS). It explains how to adequately compare ACS data through time and geographic­ally. How to use ACS data to build a Community Needs Assessment and more. It will show easy ways to access ACS data down to the census tract level. Participan­ts will learn how to correctly use ACS data in grant writing.
