New role for educator

Brooke Coulter, who has been the assistant principal at Springboro Junior High School for the past 13 years, will now oversee Springboro Intermediate School.

While serving the seventh- and eighth-grade students at Springboro Junior High, Coulter conducted evaluations of both certified and classified staff, created the building master schedule, reviewed the building’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), and served as a member of the district and building Safety Committee, as well as a member of the district’s Leadership Academy.

Before joining Springboro Schools, she served as a social studies and science teacher with the Lakota Local School District from 2008 to 2013. She also taught those same courses for grades fifth through ninth with Madison Local School Districts in Middletown. Coulter’s contract as principal of Springboro Intermediate will begin in August. Co-principals Ron Malone and Bob Thompson will remain their positions through the remainder of the 20182019 school year as Coulter transitions into her new role by spending one day a week working with students and staff.
