Feed the Hungry event

A Feed the Hungry event is planned on Sunday, March 3, in the back gym at Coffman YMCA, 88 Remick Blvd.

Feed the Hungry is a meal-packing event. Organizers are seeking 500 volunteers across three different hour-long shifts to organize, pack and seal dehydrated meals that will be delivered to locations such as Haiti, Dominican Republic and Central America. The shifts are 1-2 p.m., 2:303:30 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.

The event is co-sponsored by Southwest Church, Lifeline Christian Mission and the Coffman YMCA. Cost is $10 per person per shift and includes an event T-shirt. To sign up, visit https:// southwestc.churchcenter.com/ registrations/events.
