Dingell memorial in Michigan, D.C.
John Dingell will drive past the U.S. Capitol one last time Tuesday as part of memorial services remembering the longest-serving member of Congress. Dingell died Thursday at age 92 in his home state of Michigan. Services will be held in Dearborn, Mich., before his body returns to Washington Tuesday.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday for Dingell at Washington’s Holy Trinity Catholic Church. It will be followed by a reception at Georgetown University.
Dingell is a WWII-era veteran of the Army. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
