Group with Premier stake finishes mega-merger
Catholic Health Initiatives, which owns a 22 percent stake in Dayton-based Premier Health, has completed its merger with Dignity Health.
The newly merged system is called CommonSpirit Health and is a 700location health network spanning 21 states, which had a combined revenue of $29.2 billion in fiscal year 2018, according to a press release.
Good Samaritan Hospital’s assets had been owned by Catholic Health Initiatives, which had a joint-operating agreement with Premier. As of Jan. 1, 2018, Catholic Health Initiatives transferred the hospital’s assets to Premier and received a 22 percent interest in Premier. Good Samaritan closed in July.
CommonSpirit also owns St. Leonard Living Community in Centerville.
