Things Remembered sale could save stores

Things Remembered has agreed to sell most of its business to a giftware, home decor and accessory company, which could save some stores.

New owner Enesco plans to continue operating online, direct mail, “a portfolio” of physical stores and business to business retail, Things Remembered said. The company is not able to provide any details regarding which stores will remain open or close at this time, a spokeswoman said.

The personalized gift shop filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to facilitate the sale.

There are Things Remembered stores at The Mall at Fairfield Commons, Dayton Mall and the Kenwood Towne Center.
