Loan moves for­ward

A city Loan Re­view Com­mit­tee agreed Wed­nes­day to rec­om­mend the Troy City Coun­cil ap­prove an $83,738 loan from the Small Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment Re­volv­ing Loan Fund to Slim­line Sur­gi­cal De­vices, do­ing busi­ness as Canyon Run Engi­neer­ing Tech­nolo­gies.

The money would be used by the busi­ness to pur­chase ad­di­tional equip­ment for its 1990 W. Stan­field Road busi­ness. The com­pany of­fers engi­neer­ing de­sign and build ser­vices for med­i­cal in­stru­ment and aerospace in­dus­tries.

The loan would be for five years at 4.5 per­cent in­ter­est. A city coun­cil com­mit­tee is sched­uled to meet to make a rec­om­men­da­tion to the full coun­cil to­day.
