All-in­clu­sive play­ground

Res­i­dents of all ages and all abil­i­ties through­out the re­gion will in­crease their ac­cess to healthy, out­door and all-in­clu­sive ac­tiv­ity at the Fair­grounds Recre­ation Cen­ter, 210 Fair­ground Road, as a re­sult of Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) be­ing awarded a match­ing funds grant from GameTime and the Ohio Parks and Recre­ation As­so­ci­a­tion (OPRA).

The grant and project was spear­headed by GCP&T Main­te­nance Leads Allen Beam and Ja­son Carter. Both at­tended an OPRA play­ground cer­ti­fi­ca­tion pro­gram and grant ap­pli­ca­tion train­ing be­fore sub­mit­ting the win­ning grant pro­posal.

The first phase of the project will in­clude a new play­ground de­signed to meet the needs of park pa­trons of all abil­i­ties and all ages.
